Hi /lib/!

As a school assingment I am to read a novel about eighter ainchent greece or medieval times.
What do you suggest that I read? preferably it'd be something about badass vikings or awesome spartans. But that's not really important, just a bonus.

Fiction? Well, if you like Spartans you could read Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield.

Fiction is allowed, it doesn't have to be a true story.

You could read something by Herodotus, He is from ancient Greece and know as the father of history. He wrote the battle of thermopylæ, which is the original back-drop for 300.

Well, if they don't have Pressfield I doubt they have Mary Renault... I guess the next two nearest recs I could give you are the Long Ships by Frans Bengtsson(?) or the Winter King by Bernard Cornwell.
