I sincerely believe a few of the individuals on /lit/ will be some of the best writers of the 21st. No, no I do not jest.
Here me, oh so hear /lit/.
The western canon has been quietly paused for media took over the entire conscientious of the writers will.
See, /lit/ is underground, the internet is still 'underground', it is still a front for the freedom that the west ideal propagate.
See, we are about to witness the fruits from which the first seeds have been spilt. The age, the rise of the members on this board are starting to mature into dignified people who are leaving the hivemind into individuality and it's right-hood of originality.
Most people on 4chan, struggled, and for those times they will find retribution into their work.

I sincerely believe, /lit/ is to be a cornerstone of what is to come.

No, geeks. Not nerds.
Nerds are more normie than geeks.

You're slightly correct you miss the vast differences now, and the future of the internet. Realize, and actually think of how the internet is going to grow. It's going to grow to be niche again. Deeper you go into the web, the more niche holes you look to fill.

Normies will never venture past youtube, social media, netflix, reddit and news sites. Hell, most people don't spend half as much time online as you think.

If you think websites like 4chan are even remotely 'mainstream' it just shows how long you've been here, it also goes to say that your view is misguided for you don't know many 'normies'.

>> No.10994365

>>10994351
Yeah, what normies do when they're on the internet is not really the same thing as what somebody who knows their way around the internet does. Normies basically scratch the barest surface of what's online.

They don't browse, they don't lurk they definitely don't understand the culture, or the magnitude of the effect it's had on the internet.
Dude, a person has to be on 4chan for quite awhile to 'get it'.
I've probably wasted more time on 4chan than on anything else in my entire life. As many others.

Battle toads is old, and has been forgotten, memes are something that must be printed everyweek or the normies forget about internet culture.

The internet is one thing. There is broad consensus on this topic. It has been up voted by a tyrant mob of cool seekers ready to receive their authentic credentials. Only these tyrants in the majority know where the grease is for this specific, grassfed, sustainable harvested squeak.

Anyway, returning to the OP's central point, I do think there are going to be some good writers that, eventually, will reveal that they spent time on /lit/.

This board can be shitty, but it also manages to make the people who post here aware of writers, thinkers, and poets that they wouldn't otherwise find out about. I know I've been made aware of a bunch of different writers and thinkers thanks to this board.
