I did for a second actually, but there have been 3 suicides in my family just since I've been alive, so I didn't question it. My mother in law is also an EMT and I've heard her mention how hard all the suicide runs are and that her first response was an old lady with a bag over her head that was dead when she got there. She said it's usually seniors. The actual numbers are wayy more surprising to me desu. Another doggo

yep I think seniors have the highest rate. my grandma kept trying to kill herself after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when it started to get bad and my dad(she was his mom) pulled her out of the home so we could keep watch on her. she literally begged my mom to help her die once, but my mom kept taking good care of her for years and by the end my grandma was pretty much just a large baby. fucked my mom up bad watching her go, and she didn't like anyone but my mom to touch her so my mom quit her job to care for her full time.
