I'm a couple dozen pages into Moby Dick and it's majestic. How can anyone shit on a book that has such masterful, goosebumps-inducing prose? How can a book feel so good, anons?

It's the literal GOAT. Also I don't think anyone who's not rusing or an actual idiot shits on it.

How well read are you in regards of the Bible and Shakespeare? Asking, since there's a bunch of references to both and it only makes the book better, it's not bad though even without understanding the references in question.

oh you can fuck right off. the reading experience is basically the fucking same whether you know the references or not, there isn't a single person on the planet that has changed their opinion of Moby-Dick because they did or didn't get the allusions to Shakespeare or the Bible - its a fucking novel in its own right. fuck off with your pointless light-handed gatekeeping, its complete dogshit.

>inb4 woah calm down dude
you and your type are the scourge of literary conversations across the world, you need to change your ways.
