I can't think of anything big at the moment, but I loved the dialogue from Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.

And the way the flashbacks were handled.
But I'm a sucker for stream of consciousness narration.

Sidebar question: Does /lit/ like games?
What games do you think have had great scripts?

Great flick, and related, if you liked Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, try out Rian Johnson's other flick, Brick. If not as humorous as KK,BB, it's a great neo-noir.

KKBB was written by Shane Black, of Lethal Weapon fame.

Brick is great though. I can definitely see how fans of one might like the other.

Yes, sorry for the confusion, Brothers Bloom and Brick were written and directed by the same fellow, not Brick and KK,BB, you'd have had to be paying attention to my tripfaggery to get that connection.

I was about to say. Would have been interesting if they were by the same person.
Though Lethal Weapon to Brick? That's still a 180.

Brick was very well written, though. Noir in high school. Classy.

I liked Inception, but I'm not really sure I'd call it well written. It was great, but the dialogue felt too... I don't know, it was like it was...
Shit. It was like it was from a dream.

Oh, and on the subject of dialogue? Silent Hill the movie. Not good dialogue, in fact it could be considered bad, or very bad, depending on how you like it. But it was JUST like the games.

KKBB
In Bruges
Wonderboys

they all very similar and witty.

charlie kaufman!

it also makes me kinda happy to see dumb mean girls quote image macros as a weird tumblr trend because i kinda think it should have been nominated for a screenwriting oscar. before you get up in arms consider whether it would really be such an outrage if finding neverland got knocked out of its category

"captain fucking magic!" remains my favorite death line ever.

Yeah the dialogue in Inception was pretty much 95% exposition, but just the logistics of maintaining a well paced narrative arc for half a dozen characters throughout four or five different physical and temporal settings is pretty damn impressive.

not to come across as a tarantino fanboy here, but PULP FICTION IS THE GREATEST SCREENPLAY KNOWN TO MAN and inglourious basterds is good too.
