Girls are terrifying bros.
An attractive girl has the power to completely twist up your own self worth.
An attractive girl is simultaneously an evil bitch and a divine goddess, until she decides how to behave with you.
Girls are the best and the worst thing about life. It’s quite intense really.
I love girls and I hate them. It’s scary

You shouldn't be bitter about girls. You should blame yourself for any hurt they give you for thinking that there some angelic beings. Holy shit, girls are human

That's if you let her. Undoubtedly our sexual impulses are really powerful which makes it easy for women to manipulate us, but if you think with your head and not your dick, you'll be fine.

I don't think you have to think of a woman as an angelic being to be hurt by them. It's a natural consequence of falling in love and then having that person turn on you in some way, even if they're completely justified in doing so. The tragedy of subjectivity and never being able to fully understand the other. You can see the tragedy of miscommunication a lot in Chekhov's stories.

Wow sounds like we've got a real tough guy.

This. Emotional pain is a part of life, you can try to avoid it but you'll have to deal with it at some point. It'll probably help you grow as a person too rather than being a coward.

>muh common sense

That's why you have to be hurt in the first place, I think you're missing my point. You live and learn, love and pain are intimately correlated. Also looking at emotions in such a utilitarian way (who the fuck says "emotional investment") might mean you're a sociopath. Don't get me wrong, I understand what you mean, there are relationships that I wish I had ended before they took off but what can you do. Better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.

Don't use the other person to accomplish your goal of having an idealized relationship that can only exist in a book.

Or simpler, don't use other people.
I've seen people 30+ marry only because it's their last chance to form a family. At the same time they spout some shit about love like a teenager.

I like how the movie L'Avventura handles this topic. Especially the part in which the guy runs up in a building to search for his lost former girlfriend, the camera follows the girl waiting for him outside and men start to appear around her implying the question "Well, why not love one of them? Where is the difference?"

Just have a fun time together if you feel a chemistry and appreciate every second of it because it's not gonna last.

i grew out of this mindset at around age 22. i had one last 'intense' relationship like that and then I just somehow became like fatigued of women, and see them in much less dramatic terms now.
