This is a pretty specific question but does anyone here know about Jünger and his involvement in the Psychedelic scene? I remember there was a whole book linked here ages ago but i can't find the thread.

>> No.10918479

He wrote a book about drugs, quick google search should be able to find it

Can you read German or French?

Annäherungen. Drogen und Rausch or Approches, drogues et ivresse would be a good start.

The French version of the work is out of print though. I'm not sure about the German :(

THIS IS THE LAST STRAW.
I am convinced that 4chan is a website populated with bots where I am communicating mostly with myself.
I looked up this exact topic this morning and figured it was somewhat obscure and now I see a topic on it.
4chan is a containment website. We all get different versions which overlap at times to suit our interests. bots are the main elements that populate the boards with commentary that is all programmed. The bots react according to our emotions which are perceived through invasive technology present in computers and phones.
FINAL STRAW.

I also seem to be able to influence the whole site if I start posting a lot at once

hope this makes it to something more than the bots

OP here. Weird thing is that i'm not a bot and this just crossed my mind because I was reading about TE Lawrence and started thinking about other WW1 personalities. It's so weird other people think of the same things as you at the same time...

I'm the Final Straw fellow.
I picked up Storm of Steel this morning and was reading the intro and got to a mention of LSD and Junger and thought to look more into it.
It is, as someone says above, "uncanny". That someone somewhere should feel the need to post on some Mongolian throat singing forum about Junger and LSD just a few hours later really weirds me out.

...but you could also be a human that just also happens to be on this site in this thread at the exact same time. We'll never meet or even know anything about each other. I could be the next person you walk past you'll simply never know.

I'm not sure whats more unusual: that or you being a bot...

It is so weird indeed my friend. Jünger is a titan of a man though so i'm happy you started reading his work. He's such a fascinating figure.

Isn't this in essence the problem in the digital age? The way we treat each other in this virtual book store coffee shop (no LGBT section) is awful at times. We forget there are humans on the other side of the screen.

Yes, I'm glad to have started. I picked up both Storm of Steel and Robert Graves' "Goodbye to all that".
Seems as though I will be getting both ends of the spectrum when it comes to WW1 memoirs.

I'm pretty sure it was me who started the thread you are referring to. I am a huge admirer of Junger I own several rare English translations of his, including a publishers copy of Aladdin's Problem. To my knowledge this is contains elements from his trip with Hoffman. Highly recommended.

In addition, if you haven’t read the actual account I recommend doing so.

What a relief. I thought all these pseuds, polcucks and neckbeards might be real.
