How would one even succeed at it? Has anyone ever offered to read their poetry to you? I'm not sure about you, but when that happens to me I break out in a cold sweat and leap out the nearest window unless it is above the fourth story.

It is like novice actors always acting dramatically in front of someone they think could land em a job: both parties leave feeling embarrassed and no better off than before
