This book is a fucking piece of shit, and I'm not even trolling. How the FUCK was this horrid pile of fuck well received AT ALL? Can someone explain?

Peice of shit does not even begin to sum up what a gigantic steaming wad of santorum this fucked up sterotype of a book this is. Anyone that likes this book is a faggot.

It addressed the right subject at the right time.

Probably my least favorite bit of required reading in high school.

You explain yourself so well.

I read it when I was pretty young, I don't remember too much of it, but I liked it.

go back to /b/ faggit.

the book wasn't anything mind blowing. it was well-paced with believable characters and a main character that changed in a feasible way from a problem that stemmed from an important issue at the time. it's one of those books you show as an example as how a book should be written to a noob. obviously people should be creative and do different things. but people need to know the rules to know how to break them properly (i.e. avoiding cliches etc etc). if you have anything better you've written PLEASE share it. i would love to check it out. otherwise just calm down and realize that it's not a book that'll blow you away, but it's a solid one nonetheless.

cool. then don't read it again. anything else?

as soon as opinions are more than unsubstantiated points of view on something i'll consider yours.

+5 for correct use of santorum, but -5 for immediate use of faggot as insult.

'2207 is pretty accurate, though I trudged through MANY inferior (or at least unpleasantly dated) books in the 7th-12th grade. I enjoyed Mockingbird but haven't felt the need to reread it on my own; the huge degree of its success is largely due to timeliness.
