You don't even realize that you've already made a fatal mistake, already overplayed your hand. In your zealous opposition to fascism you called everything fascist, even when it clearly wasn't. Case and point, Trump. Everyone knows that Trump isn't literally a fascist, yet the left has gone so above and beyond in attempting to brand him that way that most normal people have tuned it out. And now when you get a real fascist, as it seems like you will eventually, people are going to tune you out there too. And you'll sit with your hands in your lap wondering why people aren't listening to you, when you're just repeating the same mantra you've been uttering for the past several decades.

You're right, the left is at present structurally unequipped to process reality (so is the right btw, but their task is an easier one, as it mainly amounts to fawning over power), so they scream FASCIST, RACIST, SEXIST, when they'd be better served focusing their energy on economic and social problems. It's a thought I often hear coming out of right winger's mouths in the form of something like, "If she would have focused on problems facing millions of Americans instead of trying to mobilize and unite various victimized identity groups, she would have won." But you're right about the cry wolf boy. And Trump isn't a fascist. He's more of a donor class hero with some 20hrs of cable TV a day reactionary retard and boomer diet Coke/McDonalds lifestyle sprinkled in there.

I think the right has an inherently stronger position though, all they really have to do is the same thing the left did to them in the 60s. This is just one article on one book, but there are plenty of others out there along the same lines. What the right has essentially done in the US is that it has taken the place of the counter cultural movement, and it seeks to provoke the left into moral outrage akin to what the leftists of the 60s did to conservative America. They really just have to keep pushing with this same strategy that the left itself used to get into power, and they'll probably end up seizing the cultural initiative, so to speak.

I find it hilarious that you attack Obama with a picture of some rushed half-assed salute to paint him as disrespectful while trying to defend a draft dodger who said he "likes people that weren't captured," mocked the parents of a dead soldier for being Muslims, and joked that avoiding STDs in the 70s was his own personal Vietnam. True nationalism (the kind that's not based on race but nation) in it's simplest sense is nation building. You'd probably want more productive citizens (nationalist or not), more in tax revenue, more investments in tech, industry, jobs that benefit the nation and reduce the social (addicts, drunks, sluggards) problems we shoulder as a nation. By elevating those below you into a position where they can provide for themselves and not take or just do harm, you'd be reducing these perennial problems which have filled speeches for decades and elicited applause from congresses filled with 8 figure earners, you'd actually be elevating yourself into higher stratas of the middle class as well.

and with all that i would still feel silly about thinking that it was (completely) good or bad.

Actuallllyyyyy Trumps cult of personality and heavy handed managerial style plans, plus many of his policies could on the whole plant him in the Facist camp more than the other camps, but America is not yet a facist nation.

Trump isn't a fascist, but who knows what is fascism in these days.
I'd say that he is just a Reagan for the culture we have nowadays, more vulgar of course.
I think that if left Americans understood that simply they have to lose in short-term in order to win long-term they could stand a chance against the whole right wing counter-culture movement, but day after day I see them losing because of their extremism. I don't live on America, but if social media is any indicator of talking to an American leftist, then I'd say they have simply no way of winning in a debate if their starting point is "I'm simply right about everything, we are going to point out how wrong you are", it's like talking to child, and god knows I've tried to talk to leftists on zuccbook. They need to admit that probably Trump (or the alt-right, right or whatever) is right about American economy depending on China importations and that they need to take the front seat back so that they can once again have the highest living standards. Bringing industries back to the US will help people in ex-industrial cities like Detroit, who very much need so. Also that immigrants in fact lower the living standards, and are a huge problem to the normal American because of job competition and culture shock.
And when they concede the most sensible things, they can start pointing out where Trump is absolutely wrong and how he is a vulgar boomer, for example, how giving into corporations is a death trap for the everyday folk, however they throw a tantrum and cry and deny any discussion, but somehow expecting the white low and middle class majority to agree with them, understand Marx and vote for their candidate, that's some huge mental gymnastics if I've seen one.

I'm not for either side in this post, I'm trying to take a middle point of view since it looks healthier, but for all I care America is doomed and the rest of the world is looking it crumble.

This is what I don't like about the left either. They shit very hard on middle america which much of is 2nd or even 3rd world tier and the best way to get out of this is generally some sort of industrialization and then they can focus on a more service economy which most coastal areas are. But the tech is just not there to make this a very clean process so the middle parts of our country will just wallow. It's sad to think about and i'm a coaster and see nothing but animosity for these people and would really like to see my countrymen in these areas do better for themselves.

Obama was a piece of shit too. Maybe you should stop being an American liberal (the actual liberal not "American liberal" which is anything even slightly to the left of the American right which is your entire country) and actually see what's going on.

Better yet, off yourself so we don't have anymore Americans around and it can hasten the death of your shitty country.

I know this was a joke post, but sexually frustrated men are stability's worst enemy. You want these guys to shut the fuck up already? Figure out a way to get them laid. Otherwise you're looking at a bunch of misfit nihilists with nothing to lose, and that's not going to end well for either of you.
