Having read quite a bit, I think it's an important one to read, but in *desperate need* of a fucking editor. I mean, Jesus - FUCKING - CHRIST! When you the shit some contemporary writers get for fairly minor stylistic flaws, the idea that this first draft that would make Kerouac say "Steady on with the coffee and pills, old chum" is the foundation text of a major world religion beggars belief - or not, apparently.

I barely even read the books you guys read. I just read self help and non fiction. I have read most of the bible. It is extremely boring and everyone defending the writing is just being a 4chan contrarian. If it was so amazing of a book you wouldnt have literally nobody able to read it including most Christians. They ave to split it up or completely exclude the parts they dont want to deal with.

The reason most "Christians" don't read it is because they're "Christians" and not Christians; merely continuing the family tradition. The other reason why not many people read it is because the general public isn't very keen on reading - especially if they can get a quick synopsis once a week from a trusted source.

Genesis, Job and Revelation are fantastic pieces of literature.
