The Scientology of Christendom. Which is appropriate since Mormons like Battlefield Earth as much as Ender's Game, if not more.

That'd imply Mormonism is Christian, though

I read the whole thing. Joseph Smith had quite the imagination, but most of it is a rehash of the Bible, right down to imitating KJV language. You have a series of prophets saying to worship God, and they all know about Jesus from 600 BC onwards because reasons, Jesus shows up and makes an American version of the 12 disciples, then there's loads and loads of war, and Moroni tells you to pray and ask if the whole thing is true.

Oh and there were three migrations of people from the Old World to the Americas, the earliest of which went across in wooden submarines (I'm not kidding) and then fought each other so much that literally every single one of them waskilled. Then a second group showed up somehow, then the main characters are told by God to go to Arabia and then somehow they sail to America and all the above shit happens.

maybe worth flipping through if for no other reason than because of it's historical impact. i wouldn't say it's *completely* without literary value but it's very long(at least for what is essentially fanfic) and repetitive. you'd probably be better off just reading a book about the history of mormonism desu.

He was a fraud. A literal gold digger. Not a miner, mind you, he used a magic 'seeing stone' to find buried treasure. You can just see the wheels turning on such a guy; "What would get me the most money by doing the least amount of work? Hmm..."

It's a confirmed fake.

No, they're polytheists.

I would say it's completely without literary value. Historical value, sure, but it has to be the most poorly written holy book I've ever made an attempt to read.

They do just not the standard Christian trinity.
