I've read most of them. I find them slightly amusing to really funny.

Try this: Don't take it seriously. It's cheap jokes about philosophers and philosophy. Maybe the sense of humor doesn't appeal to you. I wouldn't characterize it as "smart" at all aside from the subject matter being what it is.
