Maybe I haven't read enough Marx, but to my understanding the two (he and Stirner) did not see eye to eye on everything. I think you could probably get a better perspective on Stirner from him, but I don't think I would say he was taking Stirner's philosophy and running further down the road with it the way Nietzsche was.
