I'm trying to figure out what this guy's philosophy really is. What philosophy comes closest to his? What should I read as critique?
Thanks.

Being based and staying woke. Read "Pilula Rubra" by Stefanus Molyneus.

“Remember this. The people you're trying to step on, we're everyone you depend on. We're the people who do your laundry and cook your food and serve your dinner. We make your bed. We guard you while you're asleep. We drive the ambulances. We direct your call. We are cooks and taxi drivers and we know everything about you. We process your insurance claims and credit card charges. We control every part of your life.

We are the middle children of history, raised by television to believe that someday we'll be millionaires and movie stars and rock stars, but we won't. And we're just learning this fact. So don't fuck with us.”

"Worker bees can leave. Even drones can fly away. The Queen is their slave."

>What should I read as critique?
Das Kapital, Nietzsche, unironically Stirner, Emma Goldman.

Anarcho primitivism

>“Imagine,” Tyler said, "stalking elk past department store windows and stinking racks of beautiful rotting dresses and tuxedos on hangers; you’ll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life, and you’ll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. Jack and the beanstalk, you’ll climb up through the dripping forest canopy and the air will be so clean you’ll see tiny figures pounding corn and laying strips of venison to dry in the empty car pool lane of an abandoned superhighway stretching eight-lanes-wide and August-hot for a thousand miles.”

His endgame is anarcho-primitivism.

I'm confused though what parts of the Tyler character is satire and what is supposed to be insightful (if that was ever intended). So what's the best critique of anarcho-primitivism?
And I've heard talk that his speeches have some Zen in it. Is that true or just overinterpretation?

You don't even know what anprim is yet and you already want to critique it?

Do you want to lessen the grip Tyler has on you, anon?

Seems like it is anarchism combined with primitive living. But I figured it would be easier to find anarcho-primitivist books than to find critique of it, but maybe I got that wrong.

the problem with anarcho-primitivism is that there is no way to bring it about in real life.

it's basically a meme ideology, a tool for posturing.

The Tyler zen bit is probably a plot mechanism more than a coherent part of his philosophy. 'No thought' and all that.

>So what's the best critique of anarcho-primitivism?
There isn't really much there to critique. It's a regressive philosophy driven by contemporary existential horror.

To understand that horror, read The Society of the Spectacle and The Conspiracy against the Human Race. To understand anarcho-primitivism, understand capitalism then read some anthropologists and history. E.g. Claude Levi-Marx, Spengler, Gibbon. Maybe throw in some ideal vision of altruism via Rene Girard's The Scapegoat as a model for how a primitive society could be improved over civilization.

Ted Kazynski. Very surprised that he hasn't been mentioned yet. He logically explains what is fundamentally fucked up about post industrial revolution life. Tyler criticizes the surface level effects of what Ted explained.
