anyone on here read this? if so what did you think?

Jesus I hate you so much.

This exact thread - "Hey guize what do you think of this book1?!?!" - happens half a dozen times each day. No one ever has anything to say.

If you've read it, give us a review. That's how you start a thread on /lit/.

If you haven't read it, just fucking read the book.

Know that the /lit/ consensus is: this book is gimmicky teenage trash.

Skip the footnotes.

It's like weak /x/ with some /gif/ mixed in. Overall it's okay, not great though.

I fucking loved this book though. Maybe i have terrible taste, but what other books are there at are similar to this one? I want something with horror, suspense, mindfuckery, and perhaps a story of love that will make me cry. Call me a faggot, but that is what i seek.

The truth is, the prose in this book is better than anything anyone on /lit/ could ever even hope to produce.

Bunch of faggots.

I've seen a lot of guys complaining about this. Actually, I think they're all the same: you.

I made a thread asking about American Gods when I bought it, and a guy came and posted the exactly same kind of reply.

What's the problem in asking about a book you haven't read yet? Even if the book's right beside you?

Maybe we don't have time to waste with every book, and we'd like opinions to know that we're using our time with something nice.

Also, that's a discussion board. Every thread like this generates a discussion - I've seen a lot of threads like this where people here, who have read the book already, just discussing about this.

So quit being a fag, just let these threads alone if you don't like'em.

It's not like you WON'T have threads with people reviewing a book.

Just chill.

Does an epub version of this exist? Seems like it would be hard to convert.

no, but there is a PDF

>> No.1014679

to be completely honest, I'm really curious about this book. even though many of you guys say it's bad... the truth is, it's something new. it looks interesting, if a bit gimmicky and overblown. i don't know, i would give it a try, OP. just my opinion. also if you're cheap like me just borrow it, don't buy it.

also, my captcha word has an umlaut in it. wtf, haha..

This thread should have ended here.
Why did it continue after such a well thought out and true post? This thread should not exist and all of you should feel ashamed for indulging OP and bumping it.

If you let yourself get taken in by this book, you will love it and you will feel yourself absorbed into it's pages. If you are at a stage in your life where that isn't possible, you won't enjoy it, I am sorry.

The first edition PDF isn't real.

I'm inclined to believe the HTML hypertext version is, though.

*CREAMS MY PANTS*

I have like three different editions of this book, but I want this PDF so I can have it with me at any time I want.
