Have fun, and don't let yourself get frustrated.

Abstract Algebra was one of my favorite courses, but it took work just to skim the surface of the topic. As with most math, the most insight you'll get is through doing the problems and carefully following/building proofs.

On a more "lit" note, abstract algebra has a nice "metaphorical" quality when you get into homomorphisms and such. Gödel Escher Bach touches on the idea.
