Im convinced its the same guy making these threads everytime.

I read it aswell just for about a month ago. It´s good. Its simple & easy to read, but to be honest, it not as dark as i hope it would be. Soon finished the wind up bird chronicle & well, I like Murakami, but i might get why people hate on him here. Im 640 pages in, and this book have way to many pages thats not really needed for the story. But still a good book.

Are you really sure that Murakami isn't just Ishiguro's pen name for lesser works? They do kind of look alike.

It's legit one of my least favorite books on all time.

Read The Magic Mountain. If you still like Norwegian Wood afterwards, you might as well gas yourself.

Murakami books are all pretty similar and revolve around the same themes. I'd say you might enjoy Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and his years of pilgrimage, it's probably the most similar to Norwegian Wood.

It's my least favourite of his novels, and I've read them all. Try Sputnik Sweetheart or The Wind-up Bird Chronicle.
