What do you think about this show, /lit/?

It's literature related so fuck off.

who the fuck is stan

The opening episode was poorly written to the point of being incoherent. None of the motivations for the main characters made sense and were often directly contradictory with their actions. The viewer was presented with them in a way that there was no opportunity to empathise with them yet it marched on regardless.
It also suffered badly from 'we only have one outdoor set to use and it shows' syndrome, but that's not really a problem of the writing.
The redhead was cute though.

Perfect PKDick adaptation then

Nah, you really should take this to /tv/. We read books here.

Not really. PKD's sometimes incoherent in his own way, the short story this was based on is quite different and is internally consistent.

I thought that was only me who felt that. Like, when the show has some money behind it and has some good production values, it feels odd and almost recognisable when they film everything within a few limited locations.

It's always a fucking dingy, crowded marketplace with a sandy floor and big featureless walls.

Just because Philip K Dick is an author, doesn't mean I want to look at something as idiot normie tier as a tv show

I mean, part of me admires them trying, I really do. It has to be difficult when you don't have many settings available to your disposal, but if that's the case, rely more on claustrophobic storytelling or something

Don't be trying to convince us there's a war between normies and teeps in the city when really all we see is an apartment, a police station, a market place and an old factory
