Based on my real life:

Your father murdered your mother when you were a baby and got away with it because he's an influential man in your home country. You were raised by your ma sides grandparents abroad. You had a decently happy childhood with very big dreams and goals in life but got raped and shamed for it and made fun of by people you trusted as a young teenage boy. You fell in love with a girl but you moved to America for university at the age of 17 in a country where you knew literally nobody and felt truly lonely. You and the girlfriend drifted apart and your heart was broken once more in life.

You went into severe depression for almost a decade but when you turned 25 you decided enough is enough... You're moving to Los Angeles with $1000 in your pocket and a dream to achieve something great in life and be someone great in the world. Where does life take you now?
