I always liked this short story. Before you ask, no, it's not mine.

Hey /lit/ maybe one of you can help me out.

I'm looking for a form of poetry, I believed it was Japanese but I can't remember entirely. The jist of it is that there is an opening, a development of that opening, a sudden twist, and then an explanation of that twist that ties into the beginning idea. For example

>guy at vending machine
>guy buys two candy bars
>girl sitting on bench
>guy giving girl one candy bar

I can't for the life of me remember the name of this form or structure. Thanks in advance.

I think repeating the same three days over and over again in Majora's mask kind of demonstrate the eternal recurrence. Just without the existential baggage.
