Anyone else struggle with artwork when you can't nail down "the point". Too often I finish a book and go "what does it mean?" and get only a few vague suggestions of readings. I do not feel like I am finished with a work until I can summarize it in a few sentences, and too often this doesn't happen. Do I need to learn to accept works are all open ended? Reading feels like chasing a truth, and when a book ends with no evidence of any truth it feels like shallow entertainment.
