I wonder how many /pol/yps actually bother to read through Decline of the West. It's like every fucking day we have those threads and Evola threads, but rarely is there any deeper discussion. They feel alienated and think oh this intellectual wrote a big book explaining why we're in decline but shit, this will give me the confirmation I seek. Then you push them on it, try to unravel what their ''traditionalism'' actually consists of, and it's always, without fail, about wanting to go back to the security and sense of community they imagined they'd have in the 50s or so. Muh modernity is windowdressing insofar as it's larping about how the french revolution was a disaster, or the enlightenment a mistake. I'm not a leftie but I understand why you'd think people on the right tend more towards anti-intellectualism.
