Isk. I guess it depends. I read on the train and in the park on my lunch break. Never really thought it was weird, nor have I ever been bothered (being ugly as sin helps). I think it would only be bizarre if you walk onto a bus that is only take you a few minutes down a road, and you start reading then when obviously thats not enough time to read much of anything. That would probably look like you're trying to impress people, but who pays that much attention to strangers? If I see someone doing something a little weird, but ultimately harmless, I dont spend much time thinking about it.
