Barnes and Nobles sells these for $20. A bit tacky but his stories are in there. Start with the longer more well-known ones, Ctulhu, Innsmouth, Mountains, and Dunwich.

This is the best Lovecraft book I think. I own this and the 2nd part of the book you have.

Personally I really, really love Lovecraft, not just his writing but his life and philosophy. I relate so strongly to the guy. His works often get mocked for their shoddy writing. Personally I don't see problems in his work but I'm probably a pleb in the /lit/ world.

I think his works can be best described as vehicles for the ideology and worldview he held. Often when reading certain stories I see pieces where it reflects things he believed about reality, himself, his philosophies, etc. It's like he uses these fictional inventions to vent, like he felt weird fiction was the best outlet.

My favourite story by him would have to be The Temple

What is the definitive Lovecraft collection? This or the Necronomicon?
