What are your thoughts on Ulysses? Any favorite characters or chapters? How about Joyce's other works?

It's been a while since I've read it, and was wondering if it's worth a re-read.

I aspire to read Ulysses, but I'm far from an experienced reader and would likely not even be able to interpret it if I were to read it right away.
