hmmm I guess you're right
it's not fully fleshed out, just some vague idea about two characters I've had stuck in my mind for the past year or so
I guess the initial idea was for Alexej to find his meaning by guiding Johann through the competitive academia environment and them being dependent on one another. The problem is that I haven't read many books so I don't have a lot of reference - idk if this story is too generic or on-the-nose. I'm more of a movie and anime guy so I have no idea what contemporary readers would think about it
