Been reading Gene Wolfe's Wizard-Knight duology, and so far it seems to me that this is perhaps one of the most charming, imaginative and interesting works of medieval fantasy you will find out there. Not as cryptic imo as BotNS or Latro, it nevertheless drinks from a wellspring of myth and personal fantasies that give the story a very dream-like quality.

Worth at least a read of the first book.

Just started pic related and it is comfy af. Much easier to read than any other Wolfe novel I've come across so far too.
