fucking awful. is auden the most overrated poet of the 20th century?

Not sure Auden was all that ugly, but someone once said that in his later years he looked like a wedding-cake left out in the rain, which is quite funny.

What does lit think of Auden? Never seen him discussed. He's a less vibrant modernist than his contemporaries but still quite enjoyable and clever.
