In this thread we post what we perceive to be the most selfish characters in novels and why.

Captain Ahab in Moby Dick. He pursued a whale to the end of his life and his crew's. Indeed he was just like his leg - untrustworthy.

What author or work has your favorite writing style, /lit/? Be it prose or verse. I find myself persistently fond of Melville's prose in Moby Dick, but I think F. Scot Fitzgerald and Shakespeare tie for my truly favorite writing style.

I'm looking for documentaries and other films about writing and writers. Does anybody know any good ones and if you know an electronic source feel free to share. Thanks
