It's actually brilliant for what it REALLY is; commodified poetry used to corrupt and fool shallow, young girls into thinking that they're a) reading and therefore doing something "good" and b) reading "good" poetry. Unfortunately Kaur herself doesn't even realize this, because she is way too stupid and way too far up her own arse. Even other women (the kind that would hate Harold Bloom if they had ever heard of him) from trendy magazines rip into her. I find it kind of sad that she probably, genuinely believes that she's a good poet.

I agree with you, OP. Remember that the majority of people on this board are white teenage shut-ins who despise women because they've had zero success with them in real life. Of course they will refuse to admit that there are any redeeming qualities to the writings of a woman their own age who has managed to write a best-seller. They are bitter and scornful, it is impossible to argue with them. Honestly, the ones they really hate are themselves. They will never be able to fully appreciate the world--which includes the appreciation of Rupi Kaur and her phenomenal poetry-- before they purge their own self hatred.

Everytime Rupi is mentioned here the treads are always full of these stupid and hateful (and white) little boys thinking that they know shit about poetry because they once heard about verse, but in all actuality all they do is show their ignorance and stupidity (and misogyny and racism). Rupi Kaur writes good poetry and she makes a lot of money doing it, you will neither do the former nor the latter, even if you once quickly scanned through The Wasteland (but didn't understand any of it).
