It's all been downhill since then, and the main culprit is the adulation of the "artist". Artists are cerebral prostitutes, nothing more and nothing less. A good artist is just a good craftsman who makes pretty things. The moment artists were given status higher than that of a common whore, everything went to shit. A whore should just STFU and suck cock well. Whores are in no position to pontificate about anything, especially aesthetics.

So yeah, fuck the Renaissance, the Renaissance man, the "liberal arts" and every single needlessly glorified masturbatory activity.
