Anything DFW(system of a broom, pale king, IJ) is sequel to Less than zero. AP actually just a financially successful comedy noir/ feleton. Reading late BEE is like reading Bukowsky. Some interesting ideas for edgy kid. Zany hip cultural references a la Talking heads. But all rotten inside , a degenerate person.

There is just a different paradigm regarding audiobooks for me. I really enjoy cheap trash like once upon a time in Hollywood or YA SciFi like Asimov or Stephenson. I chugged Infinite Jest while working in the shop or cleaning the house and boy it was a thrill. However when it comes to serious texts like Freud, R.Girard or J.B.Peterson, I turn to physical book. Same goes with religious texts.
