I just had the sudden, terrible realization that Stefan Molyneux, Jordan Peterson, and all of these hot-take pop "philosophy" pseuds are Hitchens' spiritual descendants. He really did start all that sort of thing off.

Peterson lost credibility on 4chan weeks ago, but I suspect his true destruction will not come for a while yet. There are still plenty of normalfags who take him seriously. I feel like he hasn't been completely and totally BTFO yet, not in a way that matters to people offline.

just off the top of my head, some of his advice that has helped me (paraphrasing):
