Don't start from greeks.
Greek philosophy is shit.
All you need is Wittgenstein's philosophical investigations(his other works are useless). He's correct in observing that philosophy is bullshit, arisws from misunderstanding language games, and the urge to philosophize is problematic and should be nipped in the bud. According to him, reading PI is supposed to be a therapeutic experience so that you stop philosophizing bullshit.

Science can only, if anything continue to reveal. Language tempers the speed at which we process these revelations. Even with the great industrial advantage, we approach an impossible quantity of unknown with geologic pace.

In the meantime, "the last man blinks" and we can rest with a priori knowledge (intuition, really) that space exists and we may live and grow without the immediate physical threat of smothering.

Which is fine.

However, it follows that it is not unreasonable to assume, that in the mechanics of numbers, the reproduction of patterns of protists, the peace of lunar dust - there exists a secret plot to kill you.
