No longer human by Osamu Dazai.
At least during the second notebook and first part of the third notebook.

Based on my datamine thead the other day (assuming no samefags), there's roughly over 100 but under 200 posters who are willing to reply to a thread like that. Probably at least 50 more lurkers, and another 50+ who don't reply to those sort of threads. Probably not a super accurate metric but it's something.

Just because you shouldn't have to self improve, doesn't mean you don't need to.
Think of it like loosing weight. Most people don't need to loose weight, they never get obese in the first place. That doesn't mean that obese people shouldn't try to loose weight.
There is still time for you, but as you already know you are going to need to make some changes. You are going to have to start doing things outside your comfort zone, and stop doing things that are ultimately harmful vices. It's not easy, but you will find it's ultimately rewarding.
I believe in you anon.

What book could I read together with the girl I like?
We're not together yet properly but very close to being, and I thought a good way to spend time together could be taking interest in each other's hobbies.
I was thinking of reading The Hobbit with her, it's a nice easy read (she's not dumb but she doesn't read much), and it's quite comfy. I already have a spare copy she could read, but I'm worried about her finding it boring.
Is there any good gf-core lit that might make for a good option? Is it even a good idea?

no incel replies please.

>Should I read Hobbes' work as a newfag to philosophy?
It's not a bad place to start at all. Some rough contemporaries like Francis Bacon and Giambattista Vico thereafter. If you want a survey, Frederick Copelstone's history is comprehensive (kind of like Gibbon is to Roman history). Sweet druid apu btw, fren.
