>The time you were working at Hollisters and you conducted a small but hardcore orgy in the stock room late at night, while high, and didn't regret it because the security team didn't inspect the CCTV footage sufficiently and you were only left with a little reaction room for guilt that you honestly didn't feel like countenancing: An instantiation.

In 1870 Russia, a woman kills her husband after a long bout of abuse.

The woman is left to raise a child in his name all alone and poor - shortly after the child is born, she dies and the child makes it way into the care of an elderly gentlemen who raises the child to believe he can travel through time (the old man is senile.)

When the child reaches his 20th birthday, he jumps off a cliff to complete the process of time travel as explained by his caretaker - upon hitting the ground, the boy wakes in a car parked in front of a Hollisters.

A bomb is strapped to his chest with the writing "time travel" scribbled on a sticky note attached to it.

He has 30 hours to live and nowhere to go - so he decides an orgy is needed.

I'll go to agree with the general consensus that your ideas, at least from this angle of description, seem pretty commonly considered.

The only advice I can give you is to either:

A) Somehow string together particular story ideas into one element (such as I suggest previously.)

B) Delve deeper into one idea and flesh it out - basically write out a three paragraph synopsis of the major points/action/characters in the story and figure areas where you could deviate to stand out.

(For example, you could do a coming of age story but what if one of the people was handicapped? Mentally? Physically? Even something like that is a major shift on the ideas presented in the novel, the interactions between characters, etc.)

Death of a Salesman is one of the saddest pieces of writing I've read.

It's a classic work and I would highly suggest it. It is not too long and is in the form of a play, so it's easy to read and even so the story remains brilliantly tragic.

> Journey to the Center of the Earth

I'm a dissapointed ten year old rating this book. Up until the end it
Was probably one of the best books I've ever read. It was full of adventure and excitement, but then I got to the end. The book did not live up to it's name. It would be more appropriately called "Journey Almost to the Centre of the Earth. I recommend this book only to people who like major dissapointments.
