>American leaders have taken their values so much for granted that they rarely recognize how revolutionary and unsettling these values appear to others. Specifically the book "Diplomacy" (excerpt related), by Henry Kissinger. We are starting very slow, but if enough people get hooked then we'll speed up. For this week it's just Chapter One: The New World Order. More chapters per week if people get enthusiastic

What are the best books on Kisisnger? He's such a controversial figure it's hard to find anything that's a bit objective. It's either dicksucking about how much of a machiavellian genius he is (and to be fair, he somewhat is), or butthurt lefties who hate his guts (not without reason). I'm looking for a middle ground

What are the best books on Kissinger? I dont want any whining about how evil he was, blablabla. I know that. I'm purely interested in how competent he was as a politician, his realpolitik and the reasoning behind his strategy.

Whats the best book on this fella? I realize he's a controversial figure, but i was wondering what would be the most objective or at least comprehensive book on his life and career.

Neocons are in agreement with Spengler. This chad wrote a 400 page long dissertation on Spengler, Toynbee and Kant and he's basically modern Bismarck or von Metternich if you prefer
