I just got my hands on the entirety of the Wheel of Times series. I remember reading about half of it as a teen before falling off, I think due to catching up to the series, but maybe due a bit to boredom.

I could use a new high fantasy series, and have been exploring a few options. Malazan Book of the Fallen is another series I want to continue, but I'm exploring options before committing to one.

I've heard good things about the Inheritance Trilogy, and I tried Mistborn but fell out with it once I realized how lovey-dovey it got.

So did WoT series finish out well? Would you suggest giving it a reread?

They should have made it an anime.

The live action series they're planning is going to tank hard.

This first two books were banal and boring, the third one was o.k. Is this worth continue reading? Is Rand still going to be a little bitch about being the Dragon Reborn?

Okay, so I started reading Wheel of time and love it! On the fourth now. But something bugging me is that almost every female characther always have a really negative view of men. All of the major women characters seem to think of men like dumb and impulsive. Nynaeve is especially guilty of this. Thought it was just me not being able to realate to women characters, but as I kept reading they just kept on spewing hate for men. It kind of gets irritating when you hear it for the like 100th time. Am I alone in this or do others agree? Did the author think that every female just hated men?

Yes, if you stop around book 3 or 4 and thereafter forget about the series. If you don't, you get to join us in the "screw you, Robert Jordan" fanclub.

>inb4 some jackass says it's good until "Winter's Heart" or some such crap

The Wheel of Time series more or less spawned the genre-killing meme of writing endless pagefilling trash once you've hooked enough readers with a promised trilogy. Ironically, television is going to save the A Song of Twisted Nipples from the same meaningless fate.
