This only works if the new immigrants pay into the system more than they take out over the entire lifetime. Which they don't, if they're from the 'global south'. Only nations with declining populations produce immigrants worth a damn. All these immigrants will come here and expect the same quality of life at retirement that boomers get, when there's not a hope in hell we'll be able to afford that. Essentially we're importing people to keep this obese system going for another 20-25 years, and then that's it, back to the 19th century and poorhouses.
