>It was at this moment that I realised that it's over. My dad was right - "Fairness not included". I do not get to mate with that cute piggy at the barn, I do not get to taste those sweet oats the farmer sometimes brings, I do not even get the privilege of dying of old age. I was raised as nothing more but an object. This petrifying thought struck me like lightning during a thunderstorm. My mind was racing, I was trying to cope with it, but the realisation that my time has finally come soon kicked in. And then I let go. I knew there was nothing I could do, so acceptance was all that was left for me. As I felt the cold metal of the slaughter gun press against the back of my head, I felt relieved. Suddenly, I felt excruciating pain in my brain, but it stopped almost immediately, and I finally realized - it truly is over.
