why does he contradict himself in what he means by being? He says that being is self-positing being among other beings between being and not being. So what is the being that acts as as an upper boundary of that self-positing? Is it just telos? But then it's not being, but potential being (Haven't read Hegel btw)

This year I read
The Fountainhead
Atlas Shrugged
The Plague
and now I'm trying to finish The Idiot by the end of the year. AS took about two months to finish. I don't know how you guys blow through books so quickly. Maybe I'm just a slow reader. I'm rushing through The Idiot, I have about 270 pages left before the end of the year. This is the first year where I started reading again, and I've enjoyed it. I think I like longer books.
I have The Trial and Gravity's Rainbow coming up next to start the new year

reading all about different publishers and their history on Wikipedia is so goddamn depressing. the story always ends up with them either slowly dying or getting acquired by bigger publishers. the amount of changes in names and ownership is too massive to even keepp up. society is collapsing before our eyes.

There is a kind of Taoist beauty to the clouds and the sky and trees and your breathing in it that does fulfill everthing, but something takes us away from that, the absence of that state is the arena of all others. Tsimtsum: content emerges to fill the evacuation of form by God as the self-fulfilling form. The plenum fades and we're left with Hegelian negativity. Ontological violence. Subject as the rape of Substance, a torsion in stupidity playing with its bobbleheaded simulacra. Capitalism has succeeded in selling our own simulated hyperborean fantasies back to us as the MCU. A-listers getting paid more than doctors or whatever means even pop culture's prepubescent palette cant stomach bugmen, trying to disavow the hive like efficiency that keeps it running, at the end of the day we just want our candy for having worked for it. Maybe Satan is comfiness, entropy is a leather sofa.

>The first full length novel you write will be shit
>You will spend hundreds of hours on something you will never want published.
>you will spend countless hours researching, and outlining your project so that it will be shit.

Are you going to be the one that breaks that mold
