Jeez, they took inovations from prog + avant garde bands & put them to 3 minute pop ditties focused on strong melodies.

Michael Jackson is the best example of emotionless pop so the beatles are probably the best example of pop masking itself as avant garde.

I always lol whenever metalfags try to claim Dream Theater as part of the genre. They were a cheesy (in sound) 80s Prog band when they were good but then turned to time sig wankery (drummers influence i think) when they lost inspiration.

Devin Towsend is also prog. In fact I'd say the only notable metal I've heard is Metallica's first 5 albums, despite what pre-teen Megadeth fans will tell you.

I'm afraid the texts are available within the Vatican library. I highly recommend you visit if you're ever visiting Rome. The experience of reading the novel after his words was deeply spiritual & has took me from a man of no faith to an Agnostic Theist you might say.
