You don't have to pretend that you don't like something simply because it's uncool to like it.

How's that a problem?
I love it when books have too many endnotes, the more the merrier.
Especially when you have books which have nearly the same amount of pages dedicated to endnotes as the text itself.
>tfw you can have a discussion about the book with the author of the notes instead of going on /lit/

During the first 2 years of uni i'd always just wonder around the arts library and smell the pages of old hardbacks with mottled inside covers.
