Unironically probably socioeconomic factors. Music has a pretty low barrier to entry from creative black kids so it makes sense they'd go towards it, plus black culture basically runs music so that's probably appealing to them too as they can see examples of success. We'll probably see more in the coming years as we keep working on pushing education in poorer areas. I'm always down for different voices telling compelling stories.
