Because it is not an axis, it is a manifold. Where you imagine a line, it is more like a knot. Because those are things you should formulate your own opinions of, through experience of living your own life. They are best discussed between friends, inciting personal introspection through a social endeavor.

By "reading" about those things through strangers, you are at best participating in celebrity worship by elevating the opinions of people you don't have a relationship with, and at worst you are attempting to live vicariously through the experiences of others at the expense of yourself.
