Well I'm not Catholic so I'm a bit slow on the references with the clergy and respectable amount of child raping, but when I think of American religious leaders, I think of Robert Jeffress and people like that. They just worship the dollar. They're not learned elders, they're not sophisticated, they don't keep classical culture alive although they'll cheaply try to imitate it, and they're not interesting people to know.
