Is there any shame in buying a book shilled here, reading the first 10-20 pages and realizing that it is extremely boring and not worth reading?

I don't even remember why I bought this book. If I remember correctly I thought it was a book about some sadistic professor that tortured his students. But I was obviously wrong. This book reads like a very bland novella so far. It has some funny scenes but for the most part it really wasn't what I was looking for at all.


I might just finish reading it for the keks but so far this has been difficult. It's also possible that my translation is shit (the written is boring and repetitive).
