Why is so much old timey writing (like early 1900s and before) written like this? So confusing and unclear. These were in a reading for one of my classes and I don't get why people wrote this way. Is this really the best way to express it? Is there any clarity of thought here? I guess I'm just an idiot if I don't fully understand it.
