Can you ever stop not being dumb? There's more favorable news about climate change now than there has been in 30 years.

Ignore the shit that makes the headlines, like the wildfires and the hurricanes. Dig into the weeds a bit. I thought we were fucked 12 or 10 years ago. But now I know we aren't. We're gonna be fine. Everything's coming together, against my own pessimism.

>then its just as vaque and meaningless as fantasy and horror.

Yeah so I guess the fucking Odyssey is vague and meaningless too, since it has literal pagan gods and spirits and a trip to the literal underworld, right?

The 20th Century absolutely ruined Western literature, Jesus fucking Christ. "Vague and meaningless." Faggot.

Is OP the biggest, stupidest /pol/ bait thread we've ever seen on this board? Not only is it the usual /pol/ retardation about Jews, he accompanies it with a sexy picture of a beautiful woman, which is always a very easy way to identify someone who is stupid and making a thread.

I genuinely cannot think of a thread that was a more perfect example of how incredibly dumb /pol/ is than this one. It's almost impressive.

>ANOTHER blogpost

How many of these fucking things are we going to have every single day, now? The "Write What's On Your Mind" thread specifically exists for these sorts of things, why didn't you post this there?

Relentlessly harass, attack, and belittle them.

You people are so fucking shitty about this. Why is /a/ the best board on this site? Because /a/ will ruthlessly attack violations of their board culture. We have to be as nasty as possible with these tourists and outsiders. Hurt their feelings. Break their spirits. Drive them to suicide. Show no mercy. And if we're nasty ENOUGH the mods will just delete the threads out of frustration, which would be a victory anyway.

>The whole video is explaining the "why". Dead universe becomes live universe for a bit. Laws of physics compels certain chemical behavior from the live universe bits for a while, then live universe bits go back to being dead universe.

You don't honestly think that counts as a "why" answer, do you? Are you that stupid?

Oh, sure, you can SELL fanfiction based on Wuthering Heights, but when I try to sell anime fanfiction I get called a weeb and a weirdo.

Cuckposters are an even lower class of life than furries and scat fetishists. Imagine actually wanting another man to fuck your wife/girlfriend. What a subhuman thing to want.

This is PRECISELY why it's always a bad fucking idea to allow the existence of a united Germany. Europeans used to know this, but they seem to have forgotten it. There was a brief, shining moment at the end of World War II when we might have prevented the scourge of a united Germany from ever arising again, but Churchill and the rest of the Allies completely cocked that up. Every single time the Germans unify they fuck things up for the rest of the West.

Anybody else notice that Nietzsche loves to accuse other philosophers of doing the exact same things he loves to do all the time in his own works?

Op I think it is YOU who is the faggot, and your idea of what constitutes "quality" on /lit/ is not the same as what actual quality /lit/ content is.

Nietzsche grapples heavily with Plato's long, powerful influence on Western thought. Nietzsche is rebelling heavily against Plato, which you will not appreciate fully if you haven't read any Plato yourself. Have you actually even read any Nietzsche? One of his biggest bugbears is his idea that Plato ruined Socrates.

Everyone, EVERYONE needs to commit themselves to reporting off-topic threads when they see them. This is really important, since it's clear that /lit/ either doesn't have a dedicated mod, or the mod we DO have is a lazy piece of shit who needs severe motivation to do anything worthwhile. Therefore, /lit/ needs to commit itself to reporting all Reddit, /r9k/, and /pol/-tier threads. Everyone who posts on this board and cares about it needs to do their part, especially because if only a few of us do the reporting the mod will probably get mad and ban us for "abusing the report function."

We need to do so much reporting that either /lit/ will finally get a dedicated mod, or the mod we do have gets so cranky that he quits and is replaced by another one, one who will actually do his fucking job.

What is the literary equivalent of "I'm going to just post something totally not related to literature at all, and then tack on some brief mention of books or writing so that I can get away with posting it on /lit/"?
